About Me

I am a husband, a father of young children, and a manager at a technology company.  I am a former college athlete who is still active in fitness, and I live in Northeast USA.  Other than that, you’re probably not going to learn much more about me because I want this blog to be about clothing and style for tall men.  I don’t want this blog to be about me.

Sometime in the recent past, I started to care about how I dress because I realized how I dress affects the way I’m perceived at work and in my community.  Once I started dressing better, I began to feel more comfortable and confident.  For me, the search for things to wear became a constant cycle of finding inspiration from real life and the many great men’s style blogs (which I plan to discuss extensively in my postings) and then starting the hunt for tall examples of items.  Over the years, I’ve learned a lot this way about great men’s tall style, and now I’d like to give back and learn from others via this blog.

I’m also very interested the business side of extended sized clothing, and specifically, how retailers make decisions about extended size styles that they will or will not sell.  My beautiful wife (also very tall at 6 feet even) has a background in retail planning and buying and is helping me understand this part of the business.  I hope to have her involved in this blog in the future.

Just to give you an idea of what I’m working with, my current measurements are as follows:

  • Height:  6 feet, 8 inches
  • Weight:  250 pounds
  • Inseam:  37 inches
  • Waist:  38 inches
  • Sleeve:  39 inches
  • Chest:  46 inches
  • Neck:  16.5 inches
  • Shoe size:  15D
  • Typical jacket size:  46 extra long
